Vacature Corporate Senior Project Engineer in Evergem

Functieomschrijving

 You will be closely involved in Oleon's corporate engineering projects in order to develop new, enlarge or modernize current plants worldwide. You will be the Oleon engineering lead onsite and will be involved in corporate engineering projects from concept development to realization (prepare, design & lead);
 Based on the corporate CapEx plan and objectives, you prepare engineering development proposals. You plan and handle these projects and take corrective actions where needed to respect assigned budgets and timelines
 You challenge and guide contractors and suppliers before, during and after delivery. You coordinate and perform onsite inspections during construction with an emphasis on safety, quality and other organization's specifications;
 You make technical comparisons of offers and its technical implications and guide the Category Manager or Local Procurement Representative in negotiations with possible suppliers;
 You report directly to the Industrial Director.

Profiel en vaardigheden

 Master level degree, Master of Science in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Electro-Mechanical/Construction);
 Multidisciplinary technical knowledge allowing you to challenge contractors during design & building phase;
 Several years of professional experience in project execution and plant engineering (> 5 years), preferably in the chemical industry
 Experience managing contractors of multiple disciplines (E&I, mechanical, civil, structural);
 Good knowledge English for international work and contract negotiations. Knowledge of Dutch/French/German is an asset;
 Being triggered by frequent travel worldwide.  Some projects will require multiple months of on-site presence (overseas).
